As a Fraud Analyst at Accertify, you’ll be on the front lines of protecting businesses and consumers by investigating and analyzing high-risk e-commerce transactions. Your expertise will be key in delivering exceptional digital experiences across industries, ensuring the security and trust that drives success in today’s fast-paced, online world. You’ll be empowered to make impactful decisions, shape fraud prevention strategies, and contribute directly to the mission of transforming the digital landscape.

 Responsibilities:
  • Work well with a team of industry experts to monitor real-time fraud decisioning software
  • Independently resolves problems that require in-depth investigation and/or research
  • Constantly communicates fraud trends and shares best practices with peers and leaders
  • Perform manual review of queued transactions to determine the likelihood of fraud
  • Develop Client-specific expertise to support a model-first vision further
  • Maintain professional persistence when reviewing transactions or speaking with customers
  • Thoroughly researches transaction risk utilizing both new and existing tools
  • Prioritize work to meet and exceed deadlines
  • Report platform issues as they arise and proactively identify potential impacts on Clients
  • Utilize fraud platform features to build upon initial familiarity with Client risk profiles and deal with incoming calls from customers and third-party agents. 
Qualifications:
  • Strong desire to build a career in the fraud industry (no previous experience in fraud required)
  • Fluency in English
  • Availability to work rotating shifts. Morning, afternoon, and evening shifts, including non-business hours, weekends, and holidays
  • Fine-tuned organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills
  • Displays confidence in making decisions independently
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
  • Strong internet research skills with the ability to navigate multiple systems at once
  • Demonstrated experience and/or strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or similar university studies
  • Fluency in or other EU languages
  • Previous e-commerce fraud prevention/investigation
Additional Information:
  • This role is a hybrid opportunity (3 days in the office) to work from our Accertify Madrid office.
